The TV mob drama The Sopranos ended with Tony Soprano controversially blacking out. Fans are now seizing on clues to know if he was rubbed out. One of the clues was a flashback in a past episode to a conversation between Tony and his brother-in-law about death. An HBO spokesman said that was a legitimate hint and that the show’s creator had a definite ending in mind.
“While he won’t say to me 100 percent what it all means, he says some people who’ve guessed have come closer than others”. “There are definitely things there that he intended for people to pick up on.”
In the final moments of the last episode, Tony, the mob boss had just survived a round of gangland warfare, was sitting in a diner with his family and eating onion rings. Tension started building up when a man stares at Tony from a counter before going into the restroom. Tony then looks towards the entrance and then the screen just went blank in mid-scene. There was no picture or sound for 10 seconds and then the credits rolled in silently.
Viewers were stunned, many thought their cable had gone out. Everybody was wondering if the got whacked or if he just continued with his life. James Gandolfini wasn’t sure; he did think it was a great ending. The biggest hint is the conversation between Tony and his brother-in-law “At the end, you probably don’t hear anything, everything just goes black,” Bobby, the brother-in-law said while fishing in a small boat.

My thoughts:
This episode was so confusing. It was a good ending but I just didn’t like that all the fans watched the show for a very long time to what was going to happen with Tony and the rest of the mob and then at the end nobody will never know and that sucks! I guess it was a good ending since nobody was expecting it to end like that!
