Paris Hilton only has 4 days until she has to report to the Century Regional Detention Facility. She has until 11:59pm on June 5 to start serving time. Her original sentence was 45 days behind bars; however she will only be serving 23 days.
Steve Whitmore, Los Angeles County sheriff’s spokesman said that there is no chance Paris will be released before her release due date. No matter how overcrowded it gets out there. “The situation in the jail will not determine Hilton’s release. She has been given a full sentence. She will do her full sentence.”
The jail is located 5 miles south of downtown Los Angeles. This jail has been an all-female facility since March 2006. Paris will be spending her jail time in a “special needs” unit, where she will probably not have a roommate.
Paris is going to have to take her meals in her cell and will be allowed outside for at least an hour a day, in that hour, she can take a shower, watch TV or participate in outdoor recreations. Paris will also be allowed to talk on the phone in that hour, but she is going to have to use a pay phone. Cell phones and BlackBerrys are not allowed in jail.
When she shows up to jail she is going to have to show up empty handed. Once she is in, she is going to trade all she has, including jewelry for the orange jumpsuit. With her jumpsuit she will receive a standard-issue kit that includes: a toothbrush and tooth paste, soap, comb, deodorant, shampoo and shaving implements, pencil, envelopes and stamps.
Paris will be able to buy eye shadow, eyebrow pencil and hair coloring supplies at the jail commissary with her prepaid account. She will also be allowed three books and magazines. There will be no special arrangements done for Paris.
Nicole Richie spoke out and said that the way her friend was been treated was out of control and unfair.
My thoughts
She was not treated unfairly. She was just treated like anybody else. Any regular person out there that violates their probation goes to jail. What it the difference with her? She violated her probation so now she is going to jail.
