Saturday a crocodile was shot in China due to the search of a missing 9 year old. Only the remains of the child were found in the crocodile that was shot. It all happened in a park in Beihai, a city in Guangxi. Investigators have already confirmed that the human remains found in the reptile were that of the 9 year old student.
The child Liu disappeared Friday after Liu and three other children climbed over a fence in the park. The fence was surrounding a pool in a park where crocodile shows were staged.
“The children shot the animals with catapults and beat them with wooden sticks” the agency said. By doing this, one of the irritated crocodiles bit Liu’s clothes and dragged him into the water, where he was eaten by a swarm of crocodiles.
The shooters used some pork to get the crocodiles out of the water on Saturday. The shooter shot the first one that came out to death. Moments later they discovered the remains of the boy’s body.
Residents say that the parks owner hired a keeper for the crocodiles, but nobody knows why the keeper was not by the crocodiles when the students broke in. This keeper and park owner are being held by police.
My thoughts
This is why I’m so scared of crocodiles the eat people; they eat cats, dogs, squirrels. Crocodiles eat anything, that’s why I’m so scared of them and I try to stay away from them. Of course it’s hard to do that here in Florida because they are everywhere. Poor little guy and the owner of the park needs to be more cautious next time. I didn’t even know they had crocodiles in China.
