Sanjaya MalakarBy Stan The Devil

Sanjaya Malakar, the not so talented but very popular contestant in American Idol was voted off Wednesday night. When Sanjaya got the bad news on the show, he wipes a few tears and got a big hug from the next lowest vote getter, Lakisha Jones. Sanjaya told Ryan that’s he was fine and that it had been an amazing experience. Seacrest replied “I can promise you: We won’t soon forget you”

The last song performed by Sanjaya was “Something to talk about” and he put his own twist to it. The 17 year old is well known for his ever changing hair style. On this last performance Simon thought it “utterly horrendous”. Cowell routinely savaged Malakar while he became one of the weakest awkward “Idol” finalists ever. Somehow this teen managed to stay in American Idol getting more votes than better singers in the competition. He cultivated a fan base that helped him survive week after week.

Although his singing voice was not the best, Sanjaya managed to be very popular by standing out from the rest. His performances were the most talked about performances this season. Many predicted that he would go all the way to the final in May. A couple of his supporters were radio jock Howard Stern and the website votefortheworst.com. Sanjaya also had many friends and family in his home state of Washington that voted for him. Sanjaya is very popular between young girls and guys.

Even though Sanjaya seemed buoyed by his widespread fame, he will always be remembered for his ever changing hair dos and overall appearance

My thoughts

I was so sad when Sanjaya was voted off last night. How could this happen? All my minions and I voted for him every night! We will always love Sanjaya, his childlike singing voice and his funky hair.
