Sadly it is over for Chris. The funny curly-haired guy who once said he was bringing chubby back was eliminated from American Idol on Wednesday. Chris, 28 is from Greenville, South Carolina and with him leaving the number of Idol wannabes is down to nine. One of the nine will be the next American Idol which will be chosen in May.

Simon predicted before the results were announced “I think its bye bye, curly”. Last week Chris sang a Police classis “Every little thing she does is magic” and Simon though it was a mess.

Haley and Phil were the next with the lowest votes. Over 30 million people voted this week. Phil won Simon over with his version of “Every Breath You Take”.  “This may surprise you, Phil, but I actually thought that was very good," Cowell said Tuesday.

On the other hand he wasn’t very nice to Haley saying her cover of “True Colors” was safe and forgettable.

While those two might be the next to go, Sanjaya has become a national sensation. He has become one of the most if not the most popular American Idol wannabe and all because he sucks. Will he be one of the lucky ones in the finale?

Gwen Stephanie and rapper Akon performed on Wednesday’s eliminations. American Idol is still the number one show in America with 26 million to 37 million viewers.

My thoughts

Chris Sligh was my favorite! He is so funny and I think his hair is really cool. But I guess that if it was about the hair, like it has seemed to be so far Sanjaya will win the competition. But I though it was a singing competition. He can’t sing, he is not hot, what is wrong with you people. I guess if you can’t beat them join them! I will be voting for Sanjaya next week!
