A 19-year-old woman was reported missing March 15th. Tynesha Stewart, was a student at Texas A and M University, and was last seen with Timothy Wayne Shepherd, 27. During her spring break vacation Tynesha was visiting her parents. She dated Shepherd while she was in high school and it was very exiting for her to go out with and older guy. In one occasion Shepherd didn’t let Tynesha leave his house until her parents and police showed up at his apartment.
After graduating High School Tynesha attended the Texas A&M University, before she left for college Tynesha broke up with Shepherd and started a new relationship with a different man. And that is the reason why Shepherd killed Tynesha.
Tynesha came home for spring break and friends say that she mentioned that she though Shepherd was following her. The night of March 15th Shepherd and Tynesha met and she was never seen again.
A few days later Shepherd told investigators around 11 p, what happened to Tynesha. "They had a fight about their relationship, and her relationship with a new boyfriend," said Lt. John Denholm with the Harris County Sheriff’s homicide division. "He said he choked her…He said he put her in a large plastic tote, and then put her in his car and took her to the Dumpster." Denholm mentioned that Shepherd did not want to cooperate at first but later changed his man and confessed his murder.
Tynesha’s body could be buried under an estimated 50,000 tons of waste. Excavating the two landfills where the body could be could run at least $350,000. Denholm said that Tynesha’s family had been told that her body will probably not be recovered.
When investigators searched and examined Shepherds apartment, the bathroom had been cleaned with ammonia. The only evidence they found were two specks of blood. On March 21st Shepherd was arrested at 5:30 and confessed strangling her that night. That Friday investigators said that there will be no search for the body since it seemed that Shepherd had dismembered the body and burned all the parts.
One of Shepherds neighbors said that that he saw Shepherd barbecuing at all hours of the day, for days at a tome at his apartment. James Herbert, 18 often played video games with his nice neighbor Shepherd and also grilled together but when he asked for some of what he was cooking, Shepherd refused and said he was cooking for a wedding.
Later that weekend neighbors got alarmed when they saw dark-colored smoke blowing from the patio and called 9-1-1. When firefighters arrived Shepherd quickly told them he had everything under control. A couple weeks later another neighbor saw Shepherd taking a grill and smoker to the dumpster. They just assumed they were burnt and he was just throwing them away.
After several hours of investigation and interrogating Shepherd he finally confessed the whole truth and investigators said in a press conference: “There are no remaining body parts” they said “We have determined through this investigation that the defendant dismembered the victim and burned her body parts on the grill. Shepherd, who is charged with murder, is being held on $250,000 bond in the Harris County Jail. On Sunday, the door to Shepherd’s apartment was covered with plywood boards.
Tynesha Stewart Memories
My thoughts
Grills are a good Sunday afternoon barbecue, not to grill people! What was this guy thinking? This is one of the sickest things I have ever heard. This Shepherd guy is going to burn in hell. If the girl didn’t want to be with you anymore then get over it. That was a total act of savagery. Tynesha looked so sweet and nice. I don’t even want you in hell!
