What is wrong with American Idol this year? Stephanie Edwards one of the best singers this season was voted off last night. On the other hand some of the weakest and not enjoyable to watch performers like Sanjaya Malakar are still in the top ten.

Stephanie Edwards, 19 is originally from Savannah Georgia. She auditioned in Memphis and sadly got voted off on March 21st. On her last performance Simon Cowell said that she lacked edginess and youthful energy, which she had brought on her previous performances. Paula though the same thing and added that she should have more fun on stage.

Chris Richardson (Justin Timberlake look a like) had the next lowest vote tally. Richardson impressed the judges with his last performance “Don’t let the Sun Catch you Crying” Judges though that was his best performance ever and Paula added that he was charming and sexy.

Sadly Stephanie had to go and Sanjaya is one of the top ten in American Idol. There are a couple satellite radio shows trying to boycott American Idol. The Howard Stern show in Sirius radio is telling his fans to vote for Sanjaya , as well as Bubba the Love Sponge show also telling fans to vote for Sanjaya. They are finding that very entertaining.  Other than the radio there are also some websites out there that tell people to vote for the worst, just for fun! That’s the reason why American Idol’s top ten are not really the best top ten.

This sixth season of American Idol continues to dominate the ratings. Each telecast has attracted 26 million to 37 million viewers.

My thoughts

American Idol is one of my favorite shows. Yes it’s a little weird; nobody would ever think that the devil watches American Idol. I was actually thinking about auditioning next year. I mean why not? If Sanjaya is still there I’m sure I would make it too, and I am very popular and hotter than him. Oh and straight too! That is going to help with the votes. Since this American Idol hasn’t really been a singing competition like it use to. Let’s see what happens next week and who gets voted off. I’ll keep you posted!
