Michael Mankamyer, a 35 year old man from Orlando jumped off a Carnival Cruise Ship. The man was found along the Florida coast on Friday around 8:45. Michael was rescued about eight hours later by the Coast Guard.

Michael Mankamyer was waving his arms at rescuers when he was found. He as airlifted to a hospital where the Coast Guard reported he has a mild case of hypothermia but in good condition. When Michael was found Coast Guards were exited to see he was alive and that they had found him.

Some witnesses that were in the Carnival Cruise Ship reported that the 35 year old man ran and jump from the balcony in his room into the water at about 12:45am. Another witness said that Michael was intoxicated and that was probably the reason he made the not so smart decision of jumping off the ship.

Michael was aboard the Carnival Glory, which operates in Port Canaveral just east of Orlando. The Carnival Cruise’s crew alerted authorities after it had shipped and stayed in the area to assist with the search. Although it was mentioned that, that same ship and another one that was helping with the search left before the man was found.

A carnival spokesman had no additional details were immediately available. The cruise was in its way to Nassau, Bahamas.

My Thoughts

This man is so stupid, why would he do that? With all that food, alcohol and hot girls in the cruise, why would someone jump off something like that? Maybe he wanted to kill himself and then after he jumped he changed his mind and then waved arms at rescuers. Whatever the case was? Michael Mankamyer you are very stupid for doing that! There are tons of hot girls in bikinis!! And there he goes and jumps off!
